Also, nice texturing, actually makes it feel like the huge snake has scales.

Perspective will help you create more impactful and dynamic drawings. This drawing right now looks a bit flat; the colors are nice though. But try using "skeletons" which are guidelines to help you draw the anatomy of your characters the same can work for backgrounds.

I am not telling you to draw realism, I'm just telling you to make your drawings believable and easy to read.
